they DO write in english.
a few words.
but they write it in katakana.
the japanese language has three main forms of writing: hiragana, katakana, and kanji.
katakana is used when they are using a foreign word, or to put emphasize on a word (just like our bolds and italics).

for example, his recent post titled GAMER.
"ゲーマー" is katakana and "げーまー" is hiragana (which is the standard japanese)
both are pronounced EXACTLY the same way: GE-MA-
it's actually english that is transformed to japanese in one way or another.
if you write it in katakana, people will know that its a foreign word. but if its hiragana, it makes no meaning at all since there's no such word in pure japanese (ok, maybe there IS, but poor SNOW is lousy in japanese =(()

heh, and he uses katakana for CARBONARA too!
they use katakana and its pronounced as KARUBONARA.
close enough, aye?
